custom-crafted stage beneath the stately Colonial Oak in the attraction's 16th century Spanish garrison town section, the show forms the perfect union of entertainment and education, translating the dramatic moments of that period into a high-energy, humor-filled showcase of St. Augustine's Colonial history.
High School Summer Musical Theatre Experience to Present HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS, 7/26-8/4

JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT Opens Today at Alhambra
(6/12/2013) - For its annual summer family show, the Alhambra Theatre & Dining will stage the Andrew Lloyd Webber hit, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. Written by Weber with lyrics by Tim Rice, this Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable. Joseph, his father's favorite son, is a boy blessed with prophetic dreams. When he is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt, Joseph endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged. Set to an engaging cornucopia of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock 'n' roll, this Old Testament tale emerges both timely and timeless. The show opened in London's West End in 1973 and then on Broadway in 1982. It has enjoyed several revivals, including a current UK tour since 2010.

(6/5/2013) - The Cast includes Tony award winner Donna McKechnie (A Chorus Line), Tony award nominee Pamela Myers (Company), Tony award nominee Sally Mayes (She Loves Me), Jacksonville native and previous Theatre Jacksonville performer Emily Swallow (TNT's Monday Mornings, B'way's High Fidelity), acclaimed local actress Amy Canning and Theatre Jacksonville's Artistic Director Sarah Boone. Jacksonville funny man Lee Hamby will be reading stage directions. The production is directed by Jean Tait.

(5/1/2013) - Craig Smith, Managing Partner of the Alhambra Theatre & Dining, announced this morning the addition of a new comedy, Weekend Comedy, and a new guest star, Cindy Williams, to its 2013 line up. Cindy Williams is best known for starring from 1976 to 1982 in the television situation-comedy series Laverne & Shirley, in the role of Shirley Feeney, and for her role as Laurie Henderson in the classic film 'American Graffiti.' Cindy brings her considerable talents to the Alhambra for four special weeks September 18 - October 20, 2013.
